Trevor Chaney is a sports and copy editor for MBU Timeline. Chaney is a journalism major with a double minor in broadcast media/marketing. He is from Turlock, California, and a pitcher at Missouri Baptist University. After graduating he plans to freelance write for a sports news outlet while working as a firefighter for Cal-Fire.

Meet MBU’s Newest Athletic Trainers

Missouri Baptist University has added four young and talented personalities to the athletic training room in Stephanie Brewer, Austin Wagner, Alisha Frierdich and Drew Potter.

Stephanie Brewer stands next to the entrance of the Missouri Baptist University athletic training room as athletes await her daily treatment. Athletic trainers like Brewer, Drew Potter, Alisha Frierdich and Austin Wagner keep the wheels of the MBU Athletics machine turning as they help team members in all sports stay healthy and stay in the game.

No. I don’t get homesick, even though I am nearly 2,000 miles from my hometown of Turlock, California. In fact, St. Louis reminds me of California in a weird way. Nothing is the same between the Midwest and the West Coast, but the love I have for them individually is identical.

The view from this little known spot along the California coast, called Sunset Beach and located 40 minutes north of Monterey, is incredible and one of a kind, but somehow the prairie views and rolling hills of the Midwest have grown on me, too. And the Arch is certainly something to behold.

“Three Billboards,” 113 Awards and over 200 Nominations

“Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri” is centralized around the lack of effort a police department puts into solving a rape and murder case. But as the movie progresses, we are distracted by all the hatred surrounding the small town, making the murder mystery that much harder to solve.
