Coronavirus has suspended life as we know it, and student-athletes’ last remaining games of the 2020 spring season have been taken away. As they mourn losing their opportunity to play, the NAIA has stepped up in a big way, granting all students who lost their season extra eligibility.

Josh Fuentes, who played at Missouri Baptist University five years ago, is now the 11th-rated prospect in the Colorado Rockies organization, according to MLB.com, and he looks to continue his success as he got called up to the Big Leagues this week, delivering a base hit in his first-ever Major League at-bat.

No. I don’t get homesick, even though I am nearly 2,000 miles from my hometown of Turlock, California. In fact, St. Louis reminds me of California in a weird way. Nothing is the same between the Midwest and the West Coast, but the love I have for them individually is identical.

The view from this little known spot along the California coast, called Sunset Beach and located 40 minutes north of Monterey, is incredible and one of a kind, but somehow the prairie views and rolling hills of the Midwest have grown on me, too. And the Arch is certainly something to behold.

*Most of our readers are in Missouri, followed by Illinois, California and Texas.
