Seeing God through His Creation

There are many different ways to enjoy your days of late summer and fall, and everyone has favorite activities that are meaningful for various reasons. Some like being indoors, others like outdoors, some like high-energy activities and yet others enjoy calmer options. Here are some of my most anticipated summer and fall fun activities.

Why Travel is the Best Teacher

One of the most valuable and perhaps unexpected ways to expand your knowledge of the world around you is to get outside of your bubble and travel, whether that equates to traveling the world, traveling the country or just exploring your own state.

Why “BlacKkKlansman” Needs to Be Seen by All

“BlacKkKlansman,” Spike Lee’s absolute masterpiece of a movie, was incredibly timely when it was first released in 2018 and actually could be even more relevant now, two full years later. Dealing head on with racism and discrimination, the brilliantly written film offers commentary and insight on contemporary racial issues.

Listening to the Lord, Leading by Example

When Ethan Metzler graduated in spring 2019, he believed his time at MBU was over. However, when the position of resident director at Pillsbury-Huff Residence Hall became available, he felt the Lord call him to lead the building of young men he was a peer with just one semester before. Regardless of the position change, Metzler continues to deeply and meaningfully connect with everyone he is around at MBU, pointing to Christ through his actions.

Josh Fuentes, who played at Missouri Baptist University five years ago, is now the 11th-rated prospect in the Colorado Rockies organization, according to MLB.com, and he looks to continue his success as he got called up to the Big Leagues this week, delivering a base hit in his first-ever Major League at-bat.
