On Election Day, or Any Day, Display Godly Conduct During Tense Political Times

There are times when we find ourselves talking with people who have different political beliefs than us. In fact, these conversations might be taking place as we stand in line to vote on this Election Day. We may find ourselves tempted to abandon civil conversation, but it is necessary to be intentional about remaining calm and kind at all times, even when a conversation is difficult. The Bible instructs Christians to act in a manner commendable before God and to live at peace with everyone. As the Bible instructs: “As I have loved you, so you must love one another.”

Words carry many different meanings, and some of those meanings depend on situations in which they are used. How often do we stop to check what words we are saying and applying to people? Photo by Emma Tihen

Seeing God through His Creation

There are many different ways to enjoy your days of late summer and fall, and everyone has favorite activities that are meaningful for various reasons. Some like being indoors, others like outdoors, some like high-energy activities and yet others enjoy calmer options. Here are some of my most anticipated summer and fall fun activities.

I Learned So Much from Things my Grandpa Said … and Never Said

Most people tell stories, stories of their past, their friends, their families. My grandpa had a story he told to every one of my siblings. It was a story, but it was also a lesson. He was always focused on lessons, always focused on helping us become the most compassionate we could and always encouraging us to do our best.
