MBU Presents “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever”

With its uplifting message and quirky humor, “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” tells the tale of a married couple and six delinquent children who must unite for the performance of the Sunday school Christmas play.

Student-director Rebekah Side leads the cast and crew of “The Best Christmas Ever” in rehearsal. The holiday performance opens Thursday at 7:30 p.m. with shows Friday and Saturday running 7:30-8:45 p.m., and Sunday is a matinée at 2 in the afternoon.

How 2007 Changed the World

While cell phones have been around since the 1970s, the introduction of the first smartphone in 2007 changed the way we interact with other people and complete everyday tasks.

Students compare phones new and old, ranging from a 2006 Pantech flip phone to the most recent and popular Samsung, to the Apple iPhone, whose introduction a decade ago changed the way we communicate, and changed the world forever.

Presidential Alert Causes Alarm

It has been over a month since millions of people across the United States received the first-ever Presidential Alert as a text message sent to their phones, and people find themselves still asking the question, “What does this mean for the future of government alerts, and how will they affect me?”

Where Passion Meets Profession

Emmy-winning professor Alonzo Medcalf is taking his many years of experience in the broadcast media world and bringing it into the classrooms of the Communications Department at Missouri Baptist University.

Fall Media Talk 2018 Features Missouri Governor

Just when you thought Media Talk couldn’t possibly get any stronger, the Communications Department in the Fine Arts Division at Missouri Baptist University is featuring none other than Missouri Gov. Mike Parson, speaking at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, in the Chapel.
