A Song About Torture? No Thanks
In the song, “Sucker for Pain,” there are five artists featured, rapping and singing. These artists are Ty Dolla Sign, Lil Wayne, Imagine Dragons, Wiz Khalifa and Logic. This song is a part of the album, “Suicide Squad,” which is also the title of a recent movie released in August. There is a strange and scary tune to this song that gave me an aversion to it from the moment I heard it. The idea that comes to mind when it comes on is, “Time to change the station.”
Who Can We Believe in this Presidential Election?
As we move inside two weeks before the Nov. 8 election, many voters are still wondering exactly how we got here. The barbs and accusations keep flying, mud continues being slung like never before in recent history, and policy discussions remain vague. PART 3 IN A SERIES: While the original ideal of the internet was a space for unregulated democracy-encouraging dialogue, it has devolved to a place where trolls get thrills by abusing people, while hiding behind screen names. When MBU Timeline’s staff writers read the Time magazine article Tyranny of the Mob by Joel Stein, they decided to blog about their thoughts and feelings regarding internet trolls.
