The Missouri Baptist University Spartans women’s lacrosse team looks forward to starting the new season after having a monumental year on the field in spring 2021. The team continues to work, build, grow and reflect together with sights set clearly on making history for their program and establishing a strong position within the conference.

Switching from field hockey to the cheer mat, Jennifer Marsh, MBU cheerleading assistant coach, discovered a new love that would bring her to her alma mater to lead the cheerleading squad she was once a member of. Along the way, Marsh discovered she’s also able to relate Christ to the sport and serve as an example to her athletes.
Jennifer Marsh, a Spartan cheerleader from 2009-13, was part of the first team to advance to the National Cheerleaders Association Nationals in MBU history. Lindsey Knapp is no stranger to the rough-and-tumble world of competitive sports as she played on the men’s lacrosse team in high school since her school in Arnold, Missouri, did not have a men’s team, and now she is helping others stay in the game.

Lyndsey Knapp, an athletic trainer for MBU who is finishing her master’s degree in fitness management this month, has enjoyed the one-to-one interaction with athletes as she has helped them work through injuries to get back into competition, and now she is moving on to her next challenge in life.

*Our stories and galleries get as few as 40 or 50 hits, or as many as 8,000 hits.
*We have readers in every state and more than 90 countries around the world. We have several readers in South America, the United Kingdom, India and Australia.
*Most of our readers are in Missouri, followed by Illinois, California and Texas.
*We do not accept advertising as we are a not-for-profit online newsmagazine.
