MBU Video Production Students Getting Real World Experience

Eight Missouri Baptist University video production students had the sole responsibility of directing, producing and editing six interviews with MBU faculty members to use as promotional videos for the fourth annual Faith and Research Conference held April 7-8, 2022, in the Pitch Room of the Learning Center. Click here to see the post where the interviews can be viewed.

Looking Back at MBU’s Homecoming 2021

Homecoming at Missouri Baptist University is one of the most anticipated weeks of the school year. Oct. 4-9, 2021, was a week filled with returning events and new traditions. MBU photojournalists captured some of our favorite memories, from the Lip Sync Battle to thePerk [24].

PART 8: THE DAY THE WORLD CHANGED: On the 20th Anniversary of September 11, 2001, MBU Faculty and Staff Remember and Reflect

In the eighth of our 8-part series, we conclude our historic series with interviews of two MBU community members who have very specific ties to our nation’s military. Pam Hiebert, associate director of student financial services, and Jose Silva, adjunct music instructor, reflect on Sept. 11, 2001, remembering the 20-year anniversary of the infamous day.

This photo was captured by MBU’s Heather Goodin just two days before America was changed forever. Favorite Childhood Movies

Movies have always been, and continue to be, among our most entertaining pastimes. The suspension of disbelief is a welcome distraction in the busy world we live in, especially during this past year of the pandemic. We asked MBU students about some of their favorite childhood movies, and this is what they had to say.

The Courage to Seek Counseling

In a world that continually challenges and wears us down, sometimes the burdens of life become too much for one person to bear alone. One option many people are afraid to consider is counseling. Although the process of finding a counselor who fits you can be difficult, it can help facilitate personal growth and discovery that isn’t available elsewhere.

A numb feeling, uncontrollable weeping, heavy breathing. No matter how you experience depression, anxiety or an overwhelming sadness, those feelings are valid and you don’t have to tackle them alone. Confiding in a counseling professional isn’t a weakness, it’s one of the bravest moves you can make to help yourself.          Image courtesy of Free-Photos from Pixabay
