What is Your Spirit Animal?

All across the globe, people have taken various personality tests like the Myers Briggs or the popular Buzzfeed quizzes in order to help them learn more about themselves, so I thought it would be fun to use all this information we acquired and put it to good humor by going around to different spots on campus and asking MBU students one simple question: What is your spirit animal and why?

MBU Spartans Open Baseball Season This Week

The Spartans, coming off a season cut short last spring by the COVID-19 pandemic, are taking every precaution to ensure a safe and strong start to this 2021 season, hitting the road to take on three teams in games starting Thursday and running through Saturday.

MBU Spartan Trey Steffler, a junior from Boise, Idaho, steps into the batter’s box. After a disappointing and abrupt ending to last season, the Spartans find themselves in an optimistic mindset heading into this season, opening against NAIA-ranked opponents.        Photo Courtesy of MBU Athletics

The Truth About Junior College

Many student-athletes at MBU come from their own unique athletic background. One way that seems to be gaining more popularity as the price of college tuition rises is going to junior college first instead of a typical, four-year university.

Alisse Koishor, a junior from Highland, Missouri, transferred to MBU from Kaskaskia College in Centralia, Illinois. Koishor, currently a midfielder on the MBU women’s soccer team, is among the many junior college transfers who have found that path to MBU sports effective and life-changing.     Photo by Hannah Leahy
