Thinking through a Christian perspective makes it easy to choose life in situations that seem a little more gray.

Murder is wrong. Our nation agrees on that as a whole, but somehow killing a baby before it’s born is overlooked, at least by our legal system, as murder.

In fact, it is fought for. Pro-choice supporters fight for the woman’s right to have an abortion.

I am a woman and I think we should be fighting against the right to convenience and irresponsible actions, but for the life living within a pregnant woman.

If you are getting an abortion you either made a poor decision or someone else did.

Either way, we cannot let the life of a child perish because of the actions of those who conceived him or her.

Life starts in the womb, yes it is a life you are killing not just some organism that is growing in your body.

Jeremiah 1:5 says, “Before I formed you in the belly I knew you; and before you came forth out of the womb I sanctified you, and I ordained you a prophet to the nations.”

Though it may be developing, according to the Baby Center Expert Advice webpage the baby can still feel pain. It is a life that is dependent on its mother.

At just three weeks the baby has its own set of DNA and by week five its heart is beating.

Some 61 percent of abortions take place during week nine when the baby has already developed a heart and many other features  while other abortions take place weeks later.

By this time the baby has formed eyes and other facial features, it is moving around and its legs and fingers are growing.

The hardest part to swallow is that during these week 9 abortions the baby’s heart is already beating. They are human beings and yet some would say it is OK to terminate these fragile beings.

We need to stop fighting for women’s rights and unite in the fight for the right of the innocent, defenseless child growing inside the mother who won’t take responsibility for her actions.

If you aren’t ready for a child, don’t have sex and if you give into temptation be prepared to take responsibility for that choice .

If you do get pregnant before you are ready to care for a child, take responsibility for what has happened and give birth to your child; there are other options than to have an abortion, adoption being one.

Adoption allows the child to live and to be loved by parents who may not have been able to have a child of their own; this allows you to bless another couple while doing what is best for the care of your child.

According to Angelfire Abortion Statistics, 14,000 abortions take place due to women being raped. This makes the decision a lot harder, but you must think of the innocent child growing inside of you.

The tiny fetus growing inside of you can still be a blessing and bring joy to your life.

However, if you can’t face your child, which I think most people would understand, you can give your child over to be adopted, but please don’t punish the innocent life created by this tragedy.

The Bible clearly states that God hates the shedding of innocent blood, the blood of an unborn child.

Proverbs 6:16-19 says, “There are six things the Lord hates, seven that are detestable to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, a false witness who pours out lies and a man who stirs up dissension among brothers.”

When you look upon the face of a newborn baby, you look at the closest thing to perfection here on Earth.

Though women all over the world are forsaking their children by having abortions, God will be there for them welcoming them into Heaven with arms of love and joy.

Isaiah 49:15 says, “Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you!”

God values all life, especially the life of a child.

Luke 12:24 says, “Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn, yet God feeds them. How much more valuable are you than the birds!”

Also Psalm 127:3 says, “Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward.”

God values human life most among all creatures on Earth because He created us in His image.

This is why God commands us in Exodus 20:13, “You shall not murder.”

How does one define when life begins? This question is very important when dealing with abortion.

The Word of God says that life begins the moment God forms us in our mother’s womb.

Psalms 22:10 says, “I was cast on you from the womb: you are my God from my mother’s belly.”

But if you have gone through with an abortion in the past and later realize it’s wrong, God will forgive you if you ask Him. God loves everyone and will forgive those who repent from their sin.

1John 1:9 says, “ If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”
