Shaping My Music Taste

My sister was the biggest influence on my music taste. I was a pre-teen when she was a teenager and I wanted to be just like her, everything from her fashion style to the music she listened to. She listened to pop stars such as Justin Bieber, Ke$ha, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift. Ke$ha’s debut album, “Animal,” was a huge hit among teenage girls because she wrote songs about experiences many girls go through growing up: having crushes, partying and being betrayed by a friend, to name a few.

Livingston’s “Lighthouse” Brings Comfort to Listeners

“Lighthouse,” Livingston’s debut EP, explores his uncomfortable emotions, in order to help listeners feel comforted about their own emotions. The singer/songwriter from Denton, Texas, is only 20 years old but brings sound and lyrics beyond his years.

Lenny Kravitz Raises Awareness as he Raises “Vibrations”

If you’re a product of the 1990s you remember Lenny Kravitz as the sunglass-wearing, dreadlock-slinging, easy-to-follow rock star, and cranking up his simple funky guitar-laced songs on your car’s CD player. Now, more than a quarter century removed from his 1993 hit, “Are You Gonna Go My Way,” Kravitz has recently delivered his 11th album, which is full of love, positivity and, of course, plenty of funky beats. And he still rocks the aviators.
