Homecoming at Missouri Baptist University is always a blast, filled with some of the most anticipated activities of the academic year. This year, MBU’s Homecoming took place on Oct. 24-29 with events that catered to the entire MBU community, such as the Lip Sync Battle, Spartacus’ Birthday Party, Art in the Sunshine, Cornhole Tournament, Bonfire, Kaldi’s and Kolaches, Homecoming Tailgate Festival, football game and the famous thePerk [25] event. Once again, MBU students, staff, faculty and alumni alike were captured showing off their school spirt during this year’s week of Homecoming fun.

Homecoming at Missouri Baptist University is one of the most anticipated weeks of the school year. Oct. 4-9, 2021, was a week filled with returning events and new traditions. MBU photojournalists captured some of our favorite memories, from the Lip Sync Battle to thePerk [24].

The hilarious battle, hosted by Circle K International, took place Thursday, March 30, in the SRC. The event featured lip sync acts by several individuals and groups, some even included choreographed dances. Candy, decorations and Raising Cane’s Chicken were there for attendees to enjoy. Even though the event was a great time, it wasn’t all about fun. Proceeds from the annual event went to support African Vision of Hope’s House of Hope, an organization that helps build dormitories and funds young women for school in Zambia, Africa.
