Time to Be Thankful and Gather With Special Friends and Family

Thanksgiving is a time to appreciate blessings and experience fun activities with friends and family. There are some standard traditions associated with each gathering, however many families add their own unique traditions to these already fun-filled holidays, resulting in joyous and long-lasting memories.

Everyone celebrates Thanksgiving in their own special way, but regardless, there’s always a variety of delicious foods to choose from.     Photo by Jessica Kunkel

The Call to Authentically Love and Follow Jesus

To pursue the call of missions from God comes with various instructions and goals. For those who are followers of Christ the act of missions should come from a place of humility rather than just an opportunity to check off a box of engaging in a good deed to benefit others.

Missouri Baptist University’s Tartan Embodies a True Spartan

Just like the American flag gives its citizens a sense of loyalty and pride for their country, so is the hope for the Spartan Tartan, that when students and faculty see it around campus, they understand it is more than just a pattern, but rather it makes them feel like they belong to a community that is dedicated to education and centered around Christ.

The officially commissioned Spartan Tartan design adorns many items across campus, such as flags, banners and various promotional materials.     Photo courtesy of Missouri Baptist University

Faces of thePerk

Isn’t it great to see faces again this semester? Smiling faces, angry faces, laughing faces, stressed-out faces, praying faces … just seeing faces on campus is such a positive aspect of this current semester. ThePerk is one of students’ favorite locations on the MBU campus. In the fall of 2020, everyone at MBU wore masks because of the pandemic. As we continue to emerge from living through a season with required face coverings, MBU photojournalists Emily Heflin and Madisyn House capture some new and familiar faces that we can now see around thePerk.

Disney Fanatics Soarin’ at MBU

Disney: Not just for wide-eyed children, but cherished by generations whose hearts have been touched for a lifetime. Within the Missouri Baptist University community there are several unique individuals who are passionate about Disney, displaying what it  truly means to be a Disney Fanatic.
