I Learned So Much from Things my Grandpa Said … and Never Said
Most people tell stories, stories of their past, their friends, their families. My grandpa had a story he told to every one of my siblings. It was a story, but it was also a lesson. He was always focused on lessons, always focused on helping us become the most compassionate we could and always encouraging us to do our best.

Spirit Wing Unites the Campus and Community through Musical Praise
Music ministry has been an important outreach tool at Missouri Baptist University for nearly four decades. As the different groups have come and gone, the longest lasting group is Spirit Wing, which strives to lead the campus and community in worship. The group began in the 1980s with an undergraduate student who is now the university’s president.

Our Past Often Drives our Future
We certainly do not need to be defined by our past, but at the same time we are inclined to recognize that our past informs who we are today, and who we become tomorrow. The experiences, actions and influences during our time growing up leave lasting impressions on all of us. So our question for today’s team blog, written by students in a journalism writing course at MBU, is this: What moments from your childhood have defined the person you are today?

Well, there is social science to support the understanding that opinions people have about you are generally formed within the first few minutes of meeting you. So what about your first impressions?
