Haley Sandvoss is a staff journalist for MBU Timeline, with a major in public relations and a minor in broadcast media. Sandvoss enjoys being captain of the MBU cheerleading team, as well as singing in chorale and chamber singers. In her little free time you can find Sandvoss drinking coffee and taking photos all around St. Louis for her fashion Instagram page. Sandvoss hopes to eventually pursue a job in the public relations field at a theatre.

Sandvoss family members are all dressed up and ready for Halloween night. Haley, Connor and Julia Sandvoss set up the decor and are the go-to scarers on Halloween night. If you are interested in a good fright follow their Instagram page used to post updates of the haunted house. Send them a DM and they will let you know the time the haunted house opens as well as the exact location in Oakville.
Missouri Baptist University volleyball player Mason Crabtree came to MBU from a town too small to have a high school volleyball team, so he never played in high school, except working out with the girls team, but now he has managed to make the nationally ranked volleyball team at MBU.

Mason Crabtree played basketball and ran track in high school, but he always loved volleyball, even though his hometown of just over 100 people did not offer the sport at his high school. But through determination and sheer athletic ability, he caught the eyes of coaches at MBU, and the rest is history.
Perhaps you have heard the legend. If you have studied Shakespeare you probably have. You know, the one about the curse that comes to any production of “Macbeth” if the word “Macbeth” is even so much as murmured out loud during rehearsal. All wonderful superstitions aside, MBU’s production will prove to be historic in its own right.

Just days after coming home from the Grammy Awards in New York, Dr. Ladd Faszold, professor of music in the Fine Arts Division, sat down in his office with the sound of piano playing in the hallway to discuss where life has taken him.

Dr. Ladd Faszold has been at MBU for more than three decades, but did you know he’s performed on stage at Carnegie Hall six times? Or that he’s been to the Grammys as a voting member of the academy? Or that he’s flown into the Grand Canyon? Or that he collects stamps?
